Presence-Based Leadership

LifeSteward Ministries believes God has a plan for every ministry destined to be accomplished.  Embracing Presence-Based Leadership allows us to discover and fulfill the plan not only in mission but governance, relationships, funding, every aspect of what we do.  Our 22 years of experience with over 1,400 ministry consultations and now coaching, resulted in producing presence-based ministries with presence-based leaders, building a foundation of prayer and creating a ministry stewardship strategy.

Our History

Founded in 1989, LifeSteward Ministries, originally Alternatives Group, began as a for-profit corporation to assist life-affirming ministries with training and print materials. In 2001, with the leading of the Lord, from our founder Arthur Ellison, we became a non-profit ministry.

In 2000, we held our first prayer summit for leaders to seek the Lord's presence in an uninterrupted time away from their ministries. In 2002, those summits emerged into an annual renewal encounter named Living Waters and we began to practice and steward a paradigm of leadership for ministries and leaders we call Presence-Based Leadership.

In 2006, we renamed the ministry LifeSteward Ministries to better reflect our emerging vision. In 2009, we clearly saw our mission expanding. We developed a new mission statement, values, tagline and subdivision called LifeSteward Printing. In 2010, that expanded mission took us to arenas outside the life movement and we now serve an even greater constituency of Kingdom builders!

From 1989 through 2010, we have conducted 1,400 on-site trainings and consultations with 24 of those occurring internationally. We have given away 281 scholarships totaling $179,600 and helped raise over $31 million in 1st year events.

One thing has remained the same, we are passionate about developing Presence-Based Leaders and ministries to build a foundation of prayer and develop a ministry stewardship strategy. LifeSteward Ministries coaches ministry leaders to experience and discover the presence of God and His increase!  Isaiah 9:6,7.
